Being situated on top of the hill, it is also world-famous for its grandeur and beauty. The temple is 5200 meters high and about 14 kilometers from <strong>Katra<\/strong>. He was sad to be childless. On the day of<em> Kanya Poojan<\/em>, <em>Maa Vaishno<\/em> sat there with 9 girls. Even after all the girls left, the <em>Maa<\/em> remained there and ordered <em>Sridhar<\/em> to invite everyone. <em>Baba Gorakhnath<\/em> and his disciple <em>Bhaironath<\/em> also attended the invitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maa Vaishno<\/strong> started serving food to everyone from a special type of vessel. When she reached <em>Bhaironath<\/em>, he ordered meat and liquor to be brought in the food. On the refusal of the <em>Maa<\/em>, <em>Bhairo<\/em> tried to capture the mother. But <em>Maa<\/em> started flying towards <em>Trikuta<\/em> mountain in the form of air. <strong>Maa Vaishno<\/strong> entered a cave and meditated there for 9 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Hanuman Ji <\/em>protected <strong>Maa Vaishno<\/strong> throughout this period and also fought with <em>Bhairo<\/em>. When <em>Hanuman Ji<\/em> began to wilt in the war, <em>Maa<\/em> took the form of <em>Mahakali<\/em> and separated the head of <em>Bhairo<\/em> from his body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later, <strong>Maa Vaishno<\/strong> came to Sridhar&#8217;s dream and gave him the boon of children. Sridhar too set out in search of a mother. The girl came to Rameshwar as a<strong> <\/strong>daughter to <em>Pandit Ratnakar&#8217;s<\/em> house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ratnakar<\/em> named the daughter as <em>Trikuta<\/em>. Being part of <strong>Lord Vishnu<\/strong>, she became famous as <em>Vaishnavi<\/em>. When <em>Trikuta<\/em> came to know that <em>Lord Vishnu<\/em> also incarnated as <em>Rama<\/em>, she started meditating harshly considering <strong>Lord Rama<\/strong> as her husband.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Shri Ram<\/strong> killed <strong>Ravana<\/strong> and reached<em> Rameshwar<\/em>, he saw a meditative girl on the shore. When the girl asked Lord <strong>Shri Ram<\/strong> to accept her as his wife, <strong>Shri Ram<\/strong> replied that he had already married Sita in this birth and vowed not to marry anyone else. Now, He will be born as <em>Kali<\/em> in <em>Kali Yuga<\/em> and marry you. At this place, <strong>Maa Kali<\/strong> is seated on the right, <strong>Maa Saraswati<\/strong> in the middle and <strong>Maa Lakshmi<\/strong> on the left side as <em>Pind<\/em> in the cave. The combined form of these three is called the form of <strong>Maa Vaishno<\/strong> and <strong>Ardh-Kunwari cave.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bhairo_Nath_Temple\"><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bhairav_(tantrik)\">Bhairo Nath Temple<\/a> :<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At the time of the bloodshed, the head of <strong>Bhairo Nath<\/strong> fell at <em>Bhairaghati,<\/em> 8 km from the <em>Trikuta<\/em> mountain. After that, <strong>Bhairo Nath<\/strong> repented of his mistake and apologized to <strong>Maa Vaishno<\/strong>.  <em>Maa<\/em> knew that <strong>Bhairon&#8217;s<\/strong> wish was to attain salvation. Maa not only freed <strong>Bhairo<\/strong> from the cycle of rebirth but also blessed him that without your visit, my worship would be incomplete. This place is also known as <strong>Bhaironath<\/strong> Temple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Baal_Ganga\"><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Banganga_River_(Jammu_and_Kashmir)\">Baal Ganga :<\/a><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maa Vaishno<\/strong> shot an arrow into the earth and a water stream flowed from it. Maa had washed her hair in that stream. Months of May, June, and Navratri are much crowded. Visit during the monsoon and cold days is ideal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Katra<\/strong>, a small town in Jammu, is the stop destination of <strong>Vaishno Devi, <\/strong>which is 50 km from Jammu. From<strong> Katra<\/strong> to temple complex you find many stops &#8211; <strong>Bal Ganga, Char Paduka, Indraprastha, Ardha kuvanari, Garbhajoon, Himkoti, Sanjhi Chhata, and Bhairo Temple<\/strong>. The distance from<em> Katra to Bhavan<\/em> is 13 kilometers, which you can walk on foot or you can reduce this distance by traveling by air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the journey from <em>Katra to Bhavan<\/em>, you can rest at different places and proceed onwards. These rest places are available on both a free and rental basis.
