different forms of &#8216;Devi&#8217;.&nbsp;In this period during this period and people around the country keeps fasts as an honor to the Goddess.&nbsp;Navratri is one of the most auspicious festivals of all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On first day, \u2018Kalash Sthapana\u2019 is accomplished. \u2018Akhand diya\u2019 is lit for 9 consecutive days. <strong>For Chaitra Navratri 2019, time for \u2018Kalash Sthapana\u2019 is from 11:35 till noon 12:24<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On all the nine days, people worship nine different forms of Goddess Durga. Each day has its own significance.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Day_1_Shailputri_Parvati_in_Navratri\"><\/span><strong>Day 1: Shailputri (Parvati) in&nbsp;<\/strong>Navratri<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On first day of Navratri, Shailputri, people worship \u2018Maa Durga\u2019. This form of \u2018Maa\u2019 was originate from Shell. Therefore known as Shailputri. The image of &#8216;devi&#8217; comes with a \u2018trishul\u2019 in right hand and with the lotus in the left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s believed that by worshiping her the devotees always have an immense supply of grains and wealth. Fasting on this day and offering cow&#8217;s pure ghee at mother\u2019s feet brings blessings of good health. Brahma means &#8220;austerity&#8221; and Charini means &#8220;to behave&#8221;. Goddess Brahmacharini&#8217;s image comes with a \u2018Jaap mala\u2019 in right hand and with a \u2018kamandal\u2019 in left. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Worshiping her will give the sense of tenacity, renunciation, and virtue. Sweet dishes and fruits are very dear to mother Brahmacharini. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The life of all the family members increases by offering &#8216;shakar&#8217; to mother. She has ten hands holding various weapons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She is the Goddess who inspires courage in a person. Moreover, when provoked she can be malevolent to those who invite her wrath. But she remains the embodiment of serenity to her followers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By worshiping \u2018Mata\u2019 Chandraghanta and fasting on this day. An individual fulfill all the wish by this. To mother milk, sweets and \u2018kheer\u2019 are very dear. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, while worshiping offer her sweets or \u2018kheer\u2019 made from milk. She created the universe in the flash of her smile.&nbsp; Whilst also bestow \u2018siddhi\u2019 (supernatural powers) and \u2018niddhi\u2019 (wealth) upon her devotees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Worshipping of \u2018Maa Kushmanda&#8217;, all the diseases\/strokes can be avoided and the person\u2019s age increases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> On this day, the person who fasts and sticks by all the rules gets free of all the diseases and his\/her decision-making powers are enhanced. Offer mother \u2018malpua(s)\u2019 while praying. The mother fulfills all the desires of her devotees. She carries baby Skanda (Kartikeya or Lord Murugan) in her lap and therefore known as Skandamata. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She sits on a lotus flower and is also known as &#8216;Padmasana Devi&#8217;. Her ride is a lion. She opens the door of salvation, the ultimate happiness, to her devotees. After fasting for the whole day offer her bananas. With her blessings, your body will always remain healthy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Devotees who worship this form of the Mother Goddess also get the blessings of Lord Skanda, the God of war. Their sadness, diseases, anger, and fear disappear. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Health and sweetness are adored by \u2018Mata Katyayani\u2019, therefore offer her honey on the sixth day of navratri.
