Saturn and Karma!! Interlocked?

Many people confuse their karma with the movement of their stars and planets which leads to one misconception that both karma and Saturn are relatable. Are they? We’ll try to figure out what actually Saturn is and what actually karma is and what impact they have on one’s life?

On the first hand, Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second-largest planet in our solar system.

However, in the astrological view, Saturn is termed as “SHANI” the teacher, he is the Lord of Karma and wherever he is placed in your nativity here presents the lesson you need to learn in this life. He teaches us by placing the roadblocks in front of us. Similarly, Saturn knows the right path for you and it will make you choose that path. That is why you will often find people say- Sade Sati (Shani) changed my life and my perceptions towards life.

Overture

Saturn passes through approximately one zodiac sign every two years. It takes about 28 years for Saturn to pass through all twelve of the signs. Also, people sometimes get afraid of being heard that the place of Saturn in their horoscope has been shifted, Why? What is to be afraid of just a planet? Well according to our Hindu mythology, there are many stories about Saturn, but I found out an interesting one:

Saturn was the son of the universal soul SUN and the shadow of his wife. Yes, you read it right !! Shadow of Sun’s wife. Sun’s wife was unable to bear the fire of the Sun and so she had gone to live with her parents to take a break from her marital duties. To ensure that Sun doesn’t notice her absence she left her shadow in her house.

Highlights

Sun and the Shadow are popularly known as “Chhaya” ended up making love and Saturn was born. Sun later found out about it and because he is always righteous in his actions felt betrayed and didn’t accept Saturn.

Saturn had to leave and for obvious reasons developed hated for his father. So, it means if there is karma associated with you either good or bad weather you have directly brought that karma into effect. If the karma is good you will get good results if it is bad you will get bad results.

On the other hand, Karma is the Sanskrit word that means action. You reap what you sow. Natural consequences arise from any kind of action. By performing pious activities, one accrues good karmic credits and attains a higher birth in which one can enjoy without any difficulties.

However, when one’s pious credits are exhausted; one falls again to earth, just as one must return from holidays to the regular routine of work when one’s well-earned funds are exhausted.

The Bhagavad-Gita categorizes karma into three forms:

(1) Karma– those which elevate,

(2) Vi-Karma– those which degrade and

(3) A-Karma– those which create neither good nor bad reactions and thus lead to liberation.

The cosmic Lord of the Rings around the Saturn tends to be “cruel” to be kind. Nicknamed “Father Karma”, Saturn breaks you down and then makes you lift the heavyweights. As karma reflects humanity, If your karma is good but the place of Saturn is not right in your horoscope you might get some bad moments.
