Worship time night will be from 6.41 pm in the evening, till 12.52 in the night. The next day, people will worship Lord Shiva in the temples in the morning.
According to Shivpuran, the fasting person should wear tilak of Bhasma on the forehead and Rudraksha mala on the neck. He/she should go to the shiv temple and worship Shiva and anoint with Bael leaves, honey, milk, curd, sugar and Ganges water. After that, they should take a pledge to pay respectfully.
Rudra is another name for Lord Shiva. Rudra means one who defeats all sufferings and destroys ghosts. Rudrabhishek is the best way to worship Shiva. If Rudrabhishek is done at the right time and according to the rules, then it can give you immense blessings of Mahadev. Rudrabhishek is done on Shivling only.
