Chaitra Navratri Kalash Sthapna Muhurat is on the Pratipada Tithi
Every year, Chaita Navratri starts from Pratipada Tithi of Chaitra month Shukla Paksha. In 2020 it will start on 25th March. Devotees also celebrate this festival in the form of Vasantik Navratri. Later, the celebration of Navami will take place on 3rd April.

Each day in Navratri, devotees worship nine forms of Maa Durga in a systematic manner. Significantly, those who observe fasting for nine days in Navratri, perform the ritual of Kalash Sthapana on the first day. On Ashtami, they perform the ritual of Kanya Pujan in which they touch the feet of young girls and offer them Navratri special food.
At the same time, Mahanavami of Chaitra Navratri is also known as Ramnavami. Lord Rama was born on this day.
The day of Navratri starts with Kalash Sthapana or the establishment of Kalash. This ritual has significant importance in the Navratri Puja. Along with chanting Mantra, the next step is to sow barley and wheat in the soil beneath the Kalash.
After this, worshipping lord Ganesha, nine planets, etc takes place. Further, worshipping the first incarnation of Goddess Durga, Shailputri and reading the Shailputri Katha takes place. After this, reciting Sri Durga Saptashati and Durga Chalisa. Further, on the basis of every day, you should worship the nine forms of Maa Durga.

02 April – Ninth Day – Navami Date – Worship of Goddess Siddhidatri
