What is the procedure of pooja?
The procedure of this pooja may vary depending on the astrologer and the individual’s specific concerns. The pooja usually begins with sankalp (intention setting), followed by chanting of Shani Beej Mantras or Shani Stotra. Devotees may also perform a havan using items like black sesame, mustard oil, black cloth, and iron. In many rituals, an idol or image of Shani Dev is worshipped with offerings like blue flowers and black til. The pooja ends with prayers for protection, peace, and blessings.
