Aarogya Setu App- An Initiative to Control Coronavirus

India has taken a wonderful initiative to keep track of the infected patients amid the Coronavirus outbreak by launching the Aarogya Setu app. The entire globe is suffering from the deadly pandemic. It is getting worse day by day and there still no cure to it.

However, there’s only one solution to contain the spread of the virus and that is social distancing. Many developed nations like Italy and the USA were too late to implement a nationwide lockdown. Nevertheless, India was quick to act upon the mass spread of COVID 19.

In fact, India has left behind leading tech firms by launching its Aarogya Sety App solely for the purpose of Coronavirus containment. India announced lockdown pretty soon and also developed an app to help keep track of the infected. The app Arogya Setu has earned recognition from the World Bank as a useful measure to contain Covid19.

About the App

The Aarogya Setu App is an Indian Government initiative to combat the novel Coronavirus. The app will identify if you are in close proximity to Coronavirus positive patients. It will determine your location and the Covid19 hotspots. There have been more than 15 million downloads of the app so far. It is helping India in its war against the virus.

How does Aarogya Setu App work

As the lockdown has been extended till 3rd May, PM Narendra Modi urges the public to download the Aarogya Setu app.

• You can download the app from Google Play Store or from Apple app store

• After downloading the app turn on your Bluetooth and GPS on, so that they can track your location.

• Further, it will ask you to choose your desire language preference.

• Then you will have to submit your name, age, mobile number, foreign travel history, and profession.

• In the next level, the app will ask you a few health-related questions. After the completion of the questions, it will suggest you as safe or not.

• In case you are under the risk of Coronavirus, it will provide you with an emergency helpline number.

• Furthermore, with the help of your Bluetooth, it will detect the coronavirus infected areas. It will then help you identify how close you are to the number of Covid19 patients.

• Lastly, if you are under the high-risk area then the app will suggest you go to the nearby testing services provided by the government. You can also call in the emergency helpline number 1075 to get an appointment fixed.
