  • Offer water or Jal to the sun by chanting “Om Suryaya Namaha.”
  1. Do Puja 

  • Prepare an idol of Lord Vishnu on a yellow-coloured platform
  • Bathe the idol with Panchamrit 
  • Recite “Om Namahaya Bhagwate Vasudevaya”, light mustard oil, and conclude with aarti
  1. Do Holika Dahan

  • Gather all the essential items, such as rice, roli, unbroken rice, and newly harvested grains
  • Set the pyre, light the fire, take parikrama, and offer grains such as wheat and barley 
  • Collect holy ash and apply it to the forehead for protection and purification
  1. Donate or Do Charity 

  • Distribute food such as cooked meals or grains to orphanages, old age homes
  • Feed the cow with chapatis, green fodder, or jaggery
  • Donate new clothes or used ones to the poor
